Who We Are

HerCourt League was created to provide women in Toronto with a welcoming, pressure-free space to play basketball. 

With no tryouts or intimidation, the league focuses on inclusivity, confidence-building, and community. Inspired by the lack of women’s basketball leagues in the city, HerCourt was built to offer a supportive alternative where players of all experience levels can enjoy the game, grow, and connect.

HerCourt League is brand new, and we’re building this league with care, intention, and community at the center. At this stage, signing up doesn’t place you directly into the league, it helps us understand interest, plan locations, and create the best possible experience for everyone.

As we grow, registration will become simple: you’ll sign up and automatically be part of the league.

We truly appreciate your patience, trust, and support as we build something meaningful for women who just want to play basketball, no pressure, no tryouts, just community.

This league is open to women aged 18 and over and welcomes players of all identities. We are committed to creating a inclusive, respectful, and supportive environment for everyone.

Many recreational leagues can feel intimidating, whether it’s due to skill level, competitiveness, or lack of inclusivity. We are designed to remove those barriers and make basketball accessible to beginner and intermediate players who simply want to enjoy the game. 

Above all, we care about creating a space where everyone feels safe, respected and welcomed on the court.
